A few more Funky Fem Boho jackets, with a little Japanese Kimono flavor, by Judith at Black & Blue. Each jacket is lovingly hand made, using unique fabrics. The blue one is heavy flannel and has an asymmetrical hemline. It is lined on the back panel with a leopard print fabric. Each jacket has its own personality from ultra feminine to funky bohemian. Can be worn with jeans, or a little black dress. $120 each.

It's been a while since I've posted, so I thought I would let you know what I've been up to lately. I'm still working in alcohol ink, pretty much exclusively. I recently created a couple of pieces using actual antique windows and one using a window/photo frame. The 3-pane piece was done as a gift for my cousin and his wife Maria, who accompanied me on the second half of my Ireland trip last year. Each pane represents a special memory - Cliffs of Moher, a mare that Maria bonded with in Gort, County Galway, where we stayed, and Dunguaire Castle, also in County Galway, that Maria's ancestors built and where we had a wonderful banquet.

With the exception of the rainbow above the sunflowers, each individual image is available as cards, matted prints, metal prints and canvases.

The lovely and talented Mara Hinds has done it again! This time it is a completely functional art piece - a hand painted Adrienne Vittadini leather purse. Mara used durable leather paint and a clear protective coating, so this purse is not just a beautiful work of art, but a purse you can actually use. The purse itself is beautifully made of the highest quality leather and cloth lining and measures 9" x 12" x 4". It has a zipper compartment, cell phone pocket, odds & ends pocket and 2 large center compartments, all trimmed in leather. The strap can be converted from a single over the shoulder strap to a double hand held strap. The purse has a magnetic center closure. Mara's incredible artwork makes this already beautiful purse into a one-of-a-kind work of art you can wear!

Dream Gallery is thrilled to announce that we are currently representing the beautiful & extremely talented Mara Hinds. Mara is a local Madrid artist, whose exceptional skill is astounding. The pieces we have are canvas prints of her original pastels on black board. Mara has embellished each one with paints and other media, making each one an original, unique work. But as they say, a picture is worth a thousand words...

One of my many wonderful customers bought a canvas print from me about a week ago and sent me a photo of it hanging in her home. She even had a light installed for it! One of the biggest compliments an artist can get is when someone actually reaches into their pocket and hands you money for something you created, that they're going to be looking at (we hope) for a long time. How cool is that?! Thank you , Sherri!

Chumani Gallery is very proud and happy to announce the representation of our newest artist, Irena Daskus. (For those who do not know, Chumani Gallery is the sister gallery to Dream.)

Irena paints beautiful icons in the style of the old Russian icons.
Irena was born February 23, 1966 in Klaipeda City, on the
Baltic Coast of Lithuania and currently lives in Ipswich,
County Suffolk, England.

The inspiration to paint icons came to Irena a few years ago.
With no formal training, but a strong desire to be an artist, Irena
started painting in the style of traditional Russian icons, using
modern acrylic paints. As Irena says, "It looks like I'm painting
the icons, but actually the icons build myself. When I'm painting,
I live in, I fall inside my picture when I paint and think about that
I'm doing something for life. Every icon is a prayer. It's my soul's work." Here are the 3 icons we currently have at Chumani.
