Meet the Artist: Christopher Sweet
Follow him: Christopher Sweet

Christopher Sweet is a contemporary Native American artist and an enrolled member of the Ho-Chunk Nation of Wisconsin, with ancestry from the White Earth Band of Ojibwe in Minnesota.

His artwork is inspired by the cultures, traditions, and histories of both tribal nations. Since 2016, Sweet has pursued art professionally, sharing his work in galleries, museums, and public spaces. His art explores healing, unity, cultural identity, family, storytelling, and spirituality.

Meet the Artist: Lily Bonner
Follow her: Lily Bonnes (Heike Kürzel)

Lily is a German-born artist based in Wisconsin whose work explores perception, awareness, and the space between things. With a background in art and teaching in Berlin, she combines creativity and personal exploration in her practice.

Working mainly with ink, Lily creates expressive drawings inspired by life, transformation, and moments of deeper awareness. Her creative process allows her to enter a state of stillness and flow, inviting viewers to pause, reflect, and connect with something beyond the visible.

I’m starting to think my love for flowers is getting out of hand, looking back at all the items I choose, there is a lot of flower inspired pieces, so I guess I’m not ready for summer to be over yet.
One of my favorite things about the market is how many little details you can miss if you’re just doing a quick walk through. So next time you stop, take your time , look around and don’t be afraid to ask questions. We genuinely love talking about the artists, their work and the stories behind the pieces.
There’s always something new to notice- and apparently , I will always notice the flowers. 🌺
