The Lac qui Parle County Historical Society is glad to announce that we are now onto our summer hours. From today May 2nd through to this fall, the museum will be open on Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM along with our usual hours of 10-4 Tues-Fri.
We have also reopened our outdoor buildings including the Robert Bly Study, the 1800s log cabin, and the district 43 country school. Thank you to all the volunteers who helped us clean up our outdoor area earlier this week.

*Special Announcement*
The Lac qui Parle County Museum will be closed to visitors for the next few days while we install new carpeting over this weekend (Feb. 6th). It'll take a few days to get all of the furniture moved back into place, so if you had a museum visit planned for this weekend or next week, you may want to postpone.

*Special Holiday Hours*
Like many other businesses, the Lac qui Parle Historical Society will have special hours over the holiday season.
Christmas Week: For Christmas week the LqP Museum will be open from Monday to Wednesday (Dec. 22-24) and closed for Christmas Day and the following Friday (Dec. 25 & 26)
New Years Week: For New Years week the museum will be open from Monday to Wednesday (Dec. 29-31) closed New Years Day and then open again Friday January 2nd.
So to repeat, the museum will be open the next two Mondays and closed for Christmas Day, the day after Christmas, and New Years Day. Our hours will stay the same all days we're open (10am-4pm).
