Welcome to Historic Prairie Village 2026 Jamboree! We hope you make time to come and see us down at the depot! Both our steam train 29 and diesel locomotives will be out today! Train rides start at 10am!

It's time for another Throwback Thursday, part of celebrating our 60th anniversary this year. As we hold our 3rd annual Planes, Trains & Automobiles event this weekend, it's fitting that we feature a throwback item one of the building blocks (Railroad Days) that were part of creating this new event. Here you can see the brochure from the 1998 Railroad Days, which featured the dedication of Prairie Village's new roundhouse - the only example of one newly built in the country.

Come out and spend the day with us this coming Saturday, July 25th, for our 3rd annual Planes, Trains & Automobiles event! Beyond the three title-related anchor points all day, our grounds will be packed with lots of family fun things to do! Guests from the past two seasons have told us this is their favorite new family event in years! We hope to see you Saturday!!

Here's the next installment of Throwback Thursday, a fun weekly look back at our founding years as we celebrate our 60th anniversary throughout the 2026 season. Here we see the Wentworth Depot on the move to Prairie Village, leading a short parade of additional buildings. The depot continues in active service for us today, as all passengers board our trains from our platform in front of this grand specimen of local history!
