🍂 Fall Hours Are Coming to the Mackinaw! 🚢

Summer may be winding down, but there’s still plenty of time to climb aboard and explore the Icebreaker Mackinaw Maritime Museum!

Beginning Monday, September 7, our hours will be:

⚓ Sunday–Thursday
Open at 10:00 AM | Last Admission at 5:00 PM

⚓ Friday & Saturday
Open at 10:00 AM | Last Admission at 7:00 PM

We recommend allowing at least one hour to explore the ship.

Come aboard, experience the Mighty Mac, and enjoy a beautiful fall day in Mackinaw City!

A BIG thank you to all of our members and donors! ❤️ Your continued support made it possible for us to purchase a bench for the bottom of the brow.

While it may seem like a small addition, this bench will make a BIG difference for so many people—especially families waiting for their loved ones coming off the ship. ⚓️

We’re also thinking about adding a small Little Free Library nearby, giving visitors a chance to grab a book, leave a book, and enjoy a little something while they wait.

It’s amazing what our museum community can accomplish together. Thank you for helping us continue to make the Icebreaker Mackinaw a welcoming place for everyone! ❤️

Meet Drew! Drew has been a lead crew member aboard Icebreaker Mackinaw Maritime Museum for one season.

Drew’s favorite part of working at the museum is telling visitors the history of the ship, helping to bring it alive to all who stop by. “I like sharing interesting information with people, and expanding people’s knowledge of the Great Lakes.”

Drew’s favorite part of the museum is the engine room, because he finds the mechanics of the icebreaking interesting. Drew shares that his time at the museum has sparked a new interest in engines.
