"Meet the Fosters" at the Lynnwood-Alderwood Manor Heritage Association's Annual Meeting.

"Meet the Fosters" is a fictional couple introduced in "A Tour Through Alderwood Manor," the Puget Mill Company's original promotional booklet used to attract new residents to Alderwood Manor in the 1920s.
Cheri Ryan and Kevin Stadler will guide you through Alderwood Manor by a Puget Mill Company real-estate agent who proudly shows them the community's poultry houses, gardens, and modest homes. The tour paints a vivid picture of how families could build a prosperous life on small acreage through scientific poultry raising and cooperative marketing.
Along the way the Fosters meet the famous White Leghorn hen "Alderwood Babe Ruth" celebrated for her remarkable record of 326 eggs laid in a single year--a symbol of the promise and optimism that defined Alderwood Manor's early days.
