Saturday, at Appanoose Museum, 30+ people came together for a joint program presented by Osage County Historical Society's Eileen Davis. This successful event is a great example of different communities working together for the benefit of all. What future collaborations would you like to be a part of? Thank you to all who came out to Melvern last week for "What a Ride!" Erika Nelson gave a great presentation about how rural Kansas communities have found ways to keep their own carnivals. Sponsored by Humanities Kansas and the Osage County Historical Society. A special thank you to Linda Thompson, after the talk, she shared information and documents related to the circus which wintered at Quenemo. (See photo).
Tomorrow at 2pm, join us for a joint program at the Appanoose Museum led by Eileen Davis, Osage County Historical Society's Secretary and long time board member.
