Opening August 20th to December 2nd, 2026, Art and Stories: Queena Stovall's Vision of Rural Virginia Life. This show is in partnership with the Maier Museum of Art, Lynchburg Museum, Jones Memorial Library, and various private collectors who are bringing Queena's work back to the spotlight. This show highlights the many stories that are attached to her works through the words of Queena and the people who knew her and what rural Virginia life was like through her eyes. There is also a special suprise on display, which you will just have to come to the museum to see. You don't want to miss this show. The opening reception will be on September 10th, 2026 from 4 to 6pm.

What a wonderful afternoon at the Daura yesterday. We had an amazing turnout of guests both from on campus and off. We want to send a huge thank you to Emeritus Professor Richard Pumphrey, on behalf of the museum and the art department, for his wonderful talk. Also a huge thank you to Camdyn Bennett and her thesis on Art Therapy.

Finally, a huge thank you to all the seniors for creating a wonderful exhibition! Please stop by the museum and continue to support our students and their Senior Thesis Exhibition and the students in the Annual Juried Exhibition in the lobby gallery.
