Poland Ohio Historical Society In 1979, the Poland Township Historical Society was formed in an effort to save Poland’s Little Red Schoolhouse.

A lease agreement between the Historical Society and the Poland Local Board of Education was arranged for $1.00 per year for a period of 99 years, thus becoming the home of the newly formed Historical Society. The restored Schoolhouse was rededicated in 1987...it is the only one-room brick schoolhouse in Ohio still owned by a school district.

This year at Septemberfest, the Pittsburgh Slovakians will be performing the Redovy “Money Dance”, a popular tradition at Slovak weddings. Audience members are encouraged to participate by “gifting” money to the “bride” in exchange for a dance! All Redovy donations will help support the NSS Life PVR Scholarship fund!
Drawing for the bride and groom will be held at 2:30 pm at 351 Valley Brook Rd, Canonsburg, PA 15317 on Saturday, September 26th.

I meant to feature one home a week for the Tour of Homes but time got away from me and I'm working to squeeze in the last two homes this week. You don't want to miss the opportunity to see the inside of this completely remodeled home at 50 Poland Manor. The renovations took about a year of hard work, dedication and love.

This is the last preview of the homes on the Tour but I'll be posting a peak inside the Old Stone Tavern and the Little Red Schoolhouse before the end of this week.
