“Thatcher Island From Back Shore Gloucester” 18x24 oil is on display at the North Shore Arts of Gloucester as part of their kickoff Exhibition 1 to start the season. I painted this on location down on the rocks last summer. Exhibit runs to May 21st.

“Main St Andover, 1960’s” Oil, 15x30 will be part of the Andover History Center exhibit. Art does not have to be beautiful, disturbing, or convey a political or social injustice. It can be “fun”. I had a lot of fun creating this 1960’s scene of Main St. The opening reception is Friday May 1st from 5 to 7 and open to the public.

“Cobblestones Restaurant and the Lowell Folk Festival” will be part of the Whistler House Museum’s upcoming art exhibition celebrating the 200th anniversary of Lowell. The opening reception is Saturday April 18th from 1:00 to 3:00. The festival is one of the nations longest-running free festivals.

I will be conducting an outdoor oil painting workshop in the White Mountains in Sugar Hill NH for three nights June 9,10,11. We will stay at the Sunset Hill House. It’s a fabulous area to Plein Air paint and it will be lupine season! I have a few openings left. Contact me for details.

“Early Evening Sail, Gloucester” 18x24 oil will be included in the all members show at the Copley Society of Art starting January 8th through the 31st. There will be a reception Saturday January 18th at 5:00pm. If you are in Boston stop in see what is expected to be a fabulous show with over 100 or so members represented.

We had a fun visit yesterday during my Tuesday art class from my good friend Fred F and his assistant Jessica T. Fred is the owner of Ship Yard Brewery, Federal Jack’s in Kennebunkport and the Sea Dog Brewery’s. He is opening another Sea Dog in Lowell and hopes to collaborate with the Lowell art community. They loved Western Ave Studios! Lowell Rocks! 🎨😎

I am looking forward to the Rockport Art Association and Museum’s 2025 National Juried Exhibition. My painting “Warren’s Landing” 14x18 oil, will be part of one of the nations premiere juried shows.

“My Point of View” 18x24 oil. I started this on location over three days a number of weeks ago and I finally got to finish it in my studio. The painting is of one of the many spectacular views from this private residence on thirty acres of elevated property. Sugarbush ski area is in the background. 🎨
