LowellArts has been connecting artists and audiences through visual and performing arts in the greater Lowell community since 1977. Annual programming includes: the Lowell Showboat Sizzlin' Summer Concert Series with 10 live outdoor concerts on the Flat River Thursday nights throughout the summer, the 2-day Fallasburg Arts Festival event with 100+ artist booths and live music at Fallasburg park, f

our community theatre productions including a youth production, and six rotating gallery exhibitions including an artist market and the West Michigan Art Competition.

The show brings together art quilts exploring the haunting history of arsenic-based pigments by Studio Art Quilt Associates (SAQA), luminous floral paintings and drawings by M. Joy Lemon, and deeply personal work about displacement and resilience from two Grand Rapids-area artists, Merima Smajlovic and Mary Jane Pories. It's a rich, layered show, and we can't wait for you to see it.
