Tonight's Night on the Town just keeps getting better!

Heavily influenced by ’60s and ‘70s acoustic artists, his diverse catalog includes covers of singer/songwriters of the last 50 years along with originals that tell universal tales of life with observations and perspectives that turn the mundane into the mystica.l

‘In the Company of Artists’ a resident artists show is opening Friday! Everyone is hanging work and pulling together the finishing touches. Please come for a sneak peak 2-6, or come for the reception 6-9pm Friday, May 9th.

Night on the Town, featuring our guest artist Jennie(JCMilner and ).

J.C. Milner has worked out of Artworks Center for Contemporary Art for the past 11 years! In that time she has painted 55 murals, taught workshops all over Colorado, and is a past President of Artworks Board! She is currently teaching beginning jewelry making here at Artworks (www.JCMilnerArtworks.com). Students love her and you will too! She doodles in her free time to reduce stress and will be offering one of her intricate doodles to color on Saturday, May 16th from 2-5pm. There will be a winner and there will be prizes! Come for the fun, stay for the competition. Coloring must be done by 4:30 pm to be judged. Feel free to stop by at 11am Saturday the 16th to pick up your coloring page, or have a drink and snacks and color with Jennie starting at 2pm.

Join featured artist Erin Joy for an evening of watercolor and floriography - the secret language of flowers. This workshop is completely free to the public, including all supplies. Stop by anytime during our Third Saturday to learn more about capturing the meaning of flowers through watercolor. Erin Joy is a Fort Collins based naturalist illustrator whose work explores the textures of life through mimicking lithography with ink mark printmaking. Illustrations are then layered with watercolor and gouache to create vibrant contrasts and softness.

Our featured artist for March, Tracie Jenkins, uses mixed media, including local newspaper clippings and photography, to commemorate the passing of the 19th Amendment. Modeled after early images of suffragettes, Tracie's work aims to honor the bold women who began the fight for equality more than 100 years ago.

We are so lucky we are close to much of the parking downtown, but there will be construction for the next few weeks! I’ll keep posting the map if you are visual person like us & if you need notes, here’s how we’ll be getting to Artworks…
Go West on 1st to Garfield, take a right at 3rd & go East past ArtSpace (wave to our friends) & park in that lot near Backyard Tap and the railroad. This lot has been forgotten because you simply cannot get there from 4th Street right now. The walk is 2 minutes tops from there! We really hope we get to see you this month! We are open normal hours 2-6 Friday, 11-5 Saturday and Sunday!
