Lincoln Gallery We represent Thompson Valley Art League, a local co-operative of fine art professionals from Colorado

The gallery itself is owned and operated by the Thompson Valley Art League. TVAL is a non-profit cooperative that has over 50 local artist members. The Lincoln Gallery provides a venue for member artists to display their work and provides the community with original, local art. We have many active members and are always accepting of new members. Our Mission Statement:

July 8 is fast approaching!

The Lincoln Gallery and the Thompson Valley Art League invite you to submit entries for our 2026 REGIONAL FINE ART and PHOTOGRAPHY SHOW.

Open to all artists living in AK, AZ, CA, CO, HI, ID, KS, ND, NE, NM, NV, MT, OR, SD, TX, UT, WY and WA. Cash awards for Best of Show and 1st and 2nd place will be awarded in each category.

This two-session workshop takes a walk in a summer garden as inspiration. Learn specific pen and ink techniques to create an artistic framework for a loose and vibrant watercolor painting. Tips for successfully working with watercolor’s fluid and transparent nature will also be covered, including methods for color mixing.

Cheryl’s step-by-step group demos and helpful individual instruction will accommodate all levels of artists. Your finished painting will be ready for a 11 x 14” frame. All materials provided.

Learn "Watercolor Wax Batik" with Linda Renaud!

​Brighten you week with sunflowers! Learning the process of wax batik yields lessons that apply across all painting and drawing media.

The process of watercolor wax batik will be explained, demonstrated and practiced in this hands-on, intensive workshop. Learn how to select the best photos to work from, plan your painting, build the multiple layers of wax and watercolor and then do the final batiking and the “reveal.”

Topics covered will include:
Recognizing value changes (light to dark), Review of color – color harmonies, analogous & complementary colors, Planning your painting; first wax application – and initial wash of watercolor, Continuing with the planning/diagramming process,
Building up the layers, Batiking your painting, the “reveal” – removing the wax, sharing the result.

"Abstract Paintings and Collage" with Gloria Campbell

This workshop is designed for artists who enjoy mixing textures and materials to create abstract paintings-or want to try it for the first time. We’ll start with making your own collage papers using various tools to create designs and textures. The unique papers will then be used to layer either a collage or mixed media painting.

The Lincoln Gallery and the Thompson Valley Art League invite you to submit entries for our 2026 REGIONAL FINE ART and PHOTOGRAPHY SHOW. The exhibition will run from September 11 through Oct 1, 2026 with the Artists’ Reception and Awards Presentation on September 11th at 6:00pm. Awards Presentation at 6:30pm.

What a fantastic show. Thank you to all the TVAL volunteer and the awesome artists. Show on exhibit through June 3 at Lincoln Gallery. GAllery hours Tuesday-Sunday noon-6pm.
