Event alert. Warren County. The long-awaited opening of the Plummer Hook & Ladder Fire Museum is this Saturday, October 10. It's located in the Warrenton Town Hall and former firehouse building at 119 E. Market Street. The event hours are 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. We hope to be there!

The museum has been under development for the last number of years, as members have been collecting artifacts and documenting the history of North Carolina's oldest continuously operating all-black fire department. They served from 1868 to 2004. They were also Warren County's first fire department.
