TONIGHT…… Shannan Click is having the opening reception for her first solo exhibition “Unconscious Worlds” at 844 N La Brea Ave LA CA 90028 from 5-8pm

The initial inspiration for the show came to Shannan Click when she took a class with the marvellous and sublime .panisello being conducted at The Lodge one evening in 2018. The subject she painted was Patricia The Love Dove and her cage.

Trish was in situe muse. We had one patron who used to come to openings just to see her.

Trish was rescued in the courtyard by artist Eric Ernest Johnson in 2016. She was close to death and had no tail- I think it had been ripped out by a hawk. I nursed her back to health. Her tail grew and she brought joy and inspiration to many visitors to The Lodge.

She now lives with a beautiful person in Echo Park continuing to bring joy and love.

The serendipity of life is so often accelerated by the arts.

I am sure Trish the Love Dove wishes she could attend “Unconscious Worlds” tonight.

The LODGE is a contemporary art gallery located in an East Hollywood, California in an iconic building that has housed a number of the city's seminal modern artists.

Alice Lodge founded the gallery in 2014 in order to discover and promote Los Angele's bourgeoning artistic milieu. As a curator, she seeks out contemporary and iconoclastic artists who work within a variety of mediums including painting, sculpture, photography and printmaking.

The LODGE offers consulting services and collecting advice for art collectors. In addition to our regularly curated exhibitions, we maintain a vast inventory of work exclusive to our artists’ studios.

With a broad profile of clients and collectors, we work extensively with architects, interior designers, art advisors and home owners to find the perfect fit. Whether it is an entire collection or one special piece.
