Noysky Projects is an exhibition space and art studio established by artists Sean Noyce and Katya Us

Noysky Projects is a creative space established by artists Sean Noyce and Katya Usvitsky. Located in a hidden 100-year-old courtyard in the heart of the burgeoning Hollywood arts district, this intimate space regularly showcases the work of Noyce and Usvitsky. In addition, we invite guest curators from New York and Los Angeles to exhibit work by emerging and mid-career artists on a quarterly basis

. The former shop is also the studio of the artist couple — Sean experiments with drawing and digital media, while Katya plays with forms in soft sculpture. Noysky Projects is open to the public during exhibition openings and by appointment at any other time.

As we fly out to CDMX today with work from .santos for , we’re reminded of our collaboration with her in 2020 for her solo show at the gallery, titled “Space is Noise”, which opened just before the world shut down. We’re glad to be working with her again and thrilled with this new piece.

Sean Noyce and Johnny Gimenez unveiled their premiere collaborative project, The Resurrection of Stars, at the TRYST International Art Fair, organized by the Torrance Art Museum, from August 23-25, 2024.

Their immersive installation showcased a fusion of video projections, live performance, sound, sculpture, and painting. Gimenez, former frontman for the post-punk band Tyburn Saints, performed at various times throughout the fair on both Saturday and Sunday, bringing a ritualistic energy to the event that celebrates the cyclical passage of time through light and dark patterns.

“Birthmark” is a collaboration between hosts , , and Noysky Projects. The exhibition is part of , showcasing 23 artist run spaces around Berlin.

Frontviews, in collaboration with OJO MX ARTE (Mexico City) and Noysky Projects (Los Angeles), presents Birthmark, a multidisciplinary exhibition exploring identity through the lenses of family, society, and culture. The exhibition is part of B-LA-M, a three-year global art exchange involving 54 artist-run spaces spanning multiple continents.

Birthmark showcases works by artists from Mexico, Germany, United States, and Belarus, whose personal narratives are as diverse as their work. Their projects delve into familial histories and societal struggles, offering insights unique to each individual yet resonating within larger cultural contexts.

Several of the works in Birthmark are worn like badges of honor, symbolizing inherited legacies or birthrights that are a source of power. Others present identities more soberly — neither good nor bad but undeniably significant. Moreover, individual works reveal identities through poignant narratives and internal conflicts, uncovering complex stories.

Noysky Projects reopens its doors after a brief hiatus with “Continental Colors”, a two person show with and of ! This exhibition is one of many scattered across the city next month as part of , a cultural partnership with 20 project spaces in Berlin. More details in the coming weeks.
