Founded in 2012, the domestic curatorial platform Bed & Breakfast is an exhibition space in a personal residence. Bed & Breakfast blurs the line between public and private, between what is considered ‘personal’ and what is deemed fit to be shared. By allowing artworks to be both produced and displayed in a personal space, it has been Bed & Breakfast's hope that exhibiting artists will be informed
by and benefit from the intimacy inherent to the site. The commitment to social interaction in art as a means to nurture community and collective expression takes different programmatic forms, while continuously addressing the core question of how art and hospitality can cross paths. In addition to an exhibition space, Bed & Breakfast performs as a somewhat-functional B&B where you may pay to spend one night in the exhibition, have breakfast, and check out.
