The Sun is the vital energy which makes all life on earth grow and thrive, and brings forth our light as humans as well. When it appears in a reading, there are insights to come, happiness to be found, greatness to be experienced, and assurances offered. The rays of the sun emerge in the morning to shine light on that which was previously hidden under the blanket of night. Likewise, this is a time of happiness, joy and wisdom, where you are energized and enthusiastic, and things seems to work out better than you imagined they would.
In The Dreamkeepers Tarot, The Sun card represents more than wisdom, happiness and joy. It is also a symbol and a reminder of complete wholeness within. In the image, we see what appears to be a magical couple dancing in union. What we do not know, however, is that this union is not one of an external nature, but instead an internal one. It is the union between soul and flesh, and the divine spark of light which brought the two together as one, into one.
Consider that in this divine union of disparate parts is the place where wholeness and true self love reside. You, in this body, in this time and space reality, could not be more perfect, for you are the result of the union between soul and flesh, and you are the source of your own love.
If you have been experiencing difficulties, the appearance of The Sun card signifies the trying times are about to pass. It brings the relief of emergence from the dark night of the soul, and into the glorious, full splendor of divine wisdom and wholeness. It heralds an age of enlightenment, insight and the realization of axiomatic truths. It is a brilliant time of believing in one’s worth; of trusting, accepting, and forgiving yourself for any foibles or mistakes. It is a profound time of energy, strength, joy and happiness - in quantities, and in qualities, all as radiant as the celestial body of the sun itself.
