My (Karen Wray) Painting for the Absolute Beginner is truly a Beginning Painting Class, geared for students who have never tried painting, those who have tried, but stopped, or those who want a refresher course in the very basic fundamentals of painting, and one in which you can use these skills for any painting medium. This class acquaints the student about the tools and materials used in painting in oils, introduces students to very basic design guidelines, then using "Values," lights->darks, to create form-the illusion of three-dimensional objects.
