What Makes An Art Opening at a Hospital Different....Maybe Everything!
A Hospital is a Place of Healing, Waiting, Hope, Memory, and Prayer, and this Thursday, it also becomes a Place for Beauty.

Join artist and master craftsman Alan Shuptrine at CommonSpirit - Memorial Hospital as he celebrates 40 years of creating, with a special showing of his work and a meaningful selection of pieces by his father, Hubert Shuptrine, 1936–2006.

This is more than an exhibit.
It is a father-and-son story.
A Chattanooga story.
A Southern art story.
And a reminder that beauty belongs where people need it most.

Join us for a Celebration of Art and Healing! CommonSpirit - Memorial Hospital is hosting an exhibition of works by Alan Shuptrine with a selection by his father, Hubert Shuptrine (1936 - 2006). The opening reception is Thursday, June 18th, 5:00pm - 6:30pm at CommonSpirit - Memorial Hospital, 2525 Desales Avenue, Chattanooga, TN. The event is free and open to the public, and the artist will be on hand to greet visitors! The exhibit will be up through August.
