This IS a legitimate fundraiser - Sara and MaryJo are Christie House Society Board Members. The Christie House Society is a 501c3 non-profit organization, so your donations are tax deductible!

Go Fund Me will ask for a "tip." You do NOT need to tip go-fund-me. They keep the tip - the Christie Museum does not get that. (there is a moving bar to increase or decrease the "tip" on the go fund me page)

"..Our goal is to preserve the home and maintain as much of its original character as possible. Our current priorities include a new roof, restoration of the original windows and historic wallpaper, as well as ongoing repairs and day-to-day upkeep.

Preserving the Christie Home is about protecting an authentic piece of Long Prairie and Minnesota history so that future generations can continue to experience and learn from this special place.

Great information on the Christie Home Museum and the Todd County Museum and Historical Society . We're very fortunate to have these awesome museums preserving our past.

What a wonderful gift from the great granddaughter of Dr. George R. Christie! We are so thankful for their continued support of our mission to preserve the history of not only their family, but of country doctors who were so vital to young pioneer communities.

Dr. George and Susan West were married Sept. 1st, 1887. Susan's wedding dress is on display in the Christie Home Museum! 139 years and still looking gorgeous. Just like the Christie house itself (although the house is only 125 years old).
