There will be an Open House at the Artesia Schoolhouse Museum on Saturday, June 27th from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m.

Built in 1876, Artesia was the first county school in the Lompoc Valley, in use until it closed in 1961. It is located at 115 West Chestnut Ave. On view are the old school desks, ink wells, old books, and even a doll house made to look like Artesia with students at their desks.

There is no charge, but a dollar donation is appreciated. For more information call 805-588-6458.

Come learn about our town’s fascinating history! It will be open each month - only on the 4th Saturday of the month.
