My Etch A Sketch of Gustave Caillebotte's Paris Street; Rainy day is finally DONE! ☔

It took 9 sessions and 12 hours (only 30 minutes today!) to finish etching this behemoth from life at The Art Institute of Chicago. My first session with this painting was in July of 2016, so it literally took me over 2 years to complete. I wonder how long it took Caillebotte to paint this? Stay tuned where I will share a final straight-on photo on Friday! 🖼

Today marks my 8th sitting working on Caillebotte's Paris Street; Rainy Day at The Art Institute of Chicago. I clocked in 1.5 hours today, making for 11.5 hours so far. I thought I might finish today but you can't rush art! I'm 95% sure my next sitting will be my final one - I plan to go back tomorrow! ☔
