The Mosaic Templars Cultural Center showcases African American history in Arkansas, with exhibits on black-owned businesses, the Mosaic Templars, historic legislators, and the Arkansas Black Hall of Fame. The name is taken from the location, the former headquarters of the Mosaic Templars of America, a black fraternal organization founded in Little Rock in 1883. This world class, nationally accredi

ted museum is the state’s only institution with a mission to preserve, interpret and celebrate African American history and culture in Arkansas. MTCC is a proud agency of the Division of Arkansas Heritage which falls under the umbrella of the Arkansas Department of Parks, Heritage and Tourism. We encourage you to interact, discuss, reminisce and share your memories of our state and its heritage on this page. We ask that you keep your comments and posts relevant, positive and respectful.
