Built in 1898 by lumber baron Charles Weyerhaeuser, this beautifully preserved 9,500-square-foot mansion invites guests to explore elegant rooms, original family heirlooms, and scenic grounds overlooking the Mississippi River while hearing the stories, legacy, and community impact of the influential Musser and Weyerhaeuser families.

More than a tour, it’s a chance to experience the history, people, and preservation of one of Minnesota’s most remarkable historic estates.

Whether you’re a history lover, architecture enthusiast, or simply looking for a unique summer outing, there’s something timeless waiting to be discovered at Linden Hill.

History here isn’t just told — it’s brought to life.

Tours begin at the top of each hour. Private tours are available by appointment and must be arranged at least 3-days in advance.

During the pandemic shutdown in 2020, Angela and her husband returned to the place where their story officially began for a special 2-year anniversary styled shoot. What started as a way to celebrate their anniversary during such an uncertain season became one of the most meaningful experiences for them.

Walking the grounds of Linden Hill again brought back so many memories from their wedding weekend in 2018 — the love, laughter, happy tears, and all the unforgettable moments shared with family and friends. Even now, 8 years later, people still talk about how magical that weekend was. ✨

For this shoot, Angela wore her original wedding gown and jewelry and added one of her most treasured details: her grandmother’s vintage hairpiece. Having that piece made the day feel even more sentimental, and connected generations of love together in such a beautiful way.

Angela and Kurt were so grateful to the incredible vendors who collaborated to make this styled anniversary session so special during a time when creativity and connection meant more than ever. Looking back now, these photos feel like a love letter not only to their marriage, but also to the beauty and charm of Linden Hill and the memories they’ve created here over the years.

Cheers to 8 wonderful years together and a lifetime more of happiness, adventures, and memories. 🥂🤍

To this day, family and friends still reminisce about the joy of their wedding weekend and the beauty and charm of Linden Hill.

It’s a little known fact, but Alan Hanson is working on completing 100 different “micro-volunteering” jobs around the estate, affectionately known as the LH💯.

This is how we (Angela and Rylee) repay him after he worked in the brush pile all morning😅 Does taking out the “trash” count for 2 jobs??

Huge shoutout to the City of Little Falls - Government for the hard work and dedication at Linden Hill Historic Estate! 🌳👏

This past week, crews tackled 15 tree stumps across the property — grinding them down, backfilling the areas, and seeding everything to help restore and preserve the beauty of the grounds for future visitors. It’s work that often goes unnoticed, but it makes a huge difference in keeping this historic treasure safe, beautiful, and accessible. We’re grateful for this partnership! 💚
