📍 Historic Downtown Salem, Ohio

Celebrate a day of creativity, curiosity, craftsmanship, and community as more than 30 makers, artisans, kidpreneurs, educators, musicians, and local organizations come together in the heart of downtown Salem - coinciding with Freed Fest as always! 🎵

This year’s event features exciting hands-on experiences, including the Department of Entomology, The Ohio State University United Titanium Bug Zoo, Beech Creek Botanical Gardens and Nature Preserve walk-in butterfly tent, Komara Outdoors reptiles and amphibian experience, archery with On Target Canfield, gemstone mining with Moonstone Mining, hands-on artmaking with The Studio of Fine Arts by Anissa DiLeo and Jen's Paint Cellar, Deep Roots Native Nursery, Sauceeino Mobile Food Truck, drinks by LiBs Market, flytying demonstrations by The Fly Guy, face painting, live music, artists like Jes Reger—The Painter’s Nest, bakers, and much more.

We’re also excited to launch our new n+n community storytellers initiative in partnership with Macey Austin Creative, where young people will document the stories, people, and moments of the day while learning real-world journalism, photography, storytelling, and media skills. Kids ARE the news on market day so now they get to MAKE the news!
