Today for , a story about a museum resource.
Our Executive Director, Hayley Samford, was looking at our archive collection of local phonebooks this last week and spotted one from May 1958.
Just out of curiosity, she looked up her grandmother's father (Farmors far) - Leslie Ingemanson.
And there it was:

Hayley recited the number to her grandmother (Jane) the next time she saw her, and Jane immediately recognized it as the most important number she had memorized from her early life.

We have a huge collection of archival area phone books here at the Museum.
Drop us a name in the comments of past family in the area that you're curious about, and we'll try to look up the number for you!

Great news!
