rich history of Africa’s art and culture. To promote awareness, an understanding and appreciation of
African immigrants within the Midwestern population. will have a deep commitment to increasing awareness, understanding and appreciation of African art and culture in Nebraska. The organization will provid

e a place for everyone of all ages and abilities to develop and learn about the richness and diversity of the African heritage through history, arts and culture. The organization plans to offer a dynamic, unique and constantly evolving African art collection along with educational programs. Although we will incorporate the entire fine African arts into our programs, our focus will be on visual African art. Most activities will be hands on, open-ended, and enjoyed on a pre-scheduled basis with some walk-ins as well. will offer an art experience to all that increases awareness and interest in the African arts that will be original and one of a kind. The programs will include lectures, film series, sculptures, plays and other venues for exploring the art, artists, cultures, history and current affairs of Africa. The organization will utilize the existing connections of the Board of Directors to obtain artwork from Africa and exhibits in the U.S. Our program will encompass the development of interpretation through exhibitions. Each piece of artwork the museum displays has a specific meaning behind it. will be able to interpret the meaning behind the work. Working artists in the museum can provide hands on experience and education to museum attendees. Artists accepted by the organization will volunteer their time. The museum will provide an outlet for students from elementary through college to learn about African culture. Throughout the museum, MAMA! will have visual artworks including sculptures of African culture. Our goal is to serve as a diversity consultant to schools. We will have hands on artwork attendees may touch. We intend to encourage schools to bring groups for museum tours and field trips. In addition, we will offer African dance classes and educational workshops.

Founded in 1868 by leaders of the American Missionary Association to educate freedmen after the Civil War, Hampton — nicknamed "The Home by the Sea" for its Chesapeake Bay setting — has grown into one of the top-ranked HBCUs in the nation.

🎉 Exciting News! Tennessee State University (TSU) will be joining us virtually at our Annual HBCU College Fair on September 15th! 🐯💙

Founded on June 19, 1912, as the Agricultural and Industrial State Normal School, TSU has grown into a nationally respected HBCU and land-grant university, drawing students from 42 states and 45 countries.

A few fun facts about TSU:

⭐ TSU's alumni network includes a name everyone knows — Oprah Winfrey, who earned a full scholarship to study communications at TSU before launching her legendary media career.

🏃🏾‍♀️ TSU is home to Olympic legend Wilma Rudolph, along with fellow Olympic medalists Ralph Boston and Wyomia Tyus — all coached by the legendary Coach Ed Temple, a U.S. Olympic Hall of Famer.

Anita Mason is a woman of grace, poise, and purpose, carrying forward a legacy of excellence passed down through generations of her family. A former Elite Model discovered by Bethann Hardison in 1988, she built a career that took her across the fashion and entertainment industry.

In 2008, Anita founded The Mason Agency, an image consulting firm serving high-profile clients worldwide. Her deep expertise in model and talent development led her to found 6 A.M. Models , a boutique agency known for scouting and placing diverse talent with top agencies globally. In 2020, she launched 6 A.M. Entertainment, expanding her reach into film and television production.

Beyond talent management, Anita is a true entrepreneur, owning a medspa and serving as Wine Proprietor of Mercy Cellars, a legacy she’s building for her grandchildren. Most recently, she’s stepped into the role of playwright, executive producer, and director, co-writing “Queen Broken,” set to debut at the L.A. Film School in fall 2027.

Anita lives in Scottsdale, Arizona, and is passionate about inspiring others to pursue lives of purpose through entrepreneurship and philanthropy.
