The Lexington County Museum offers a rare & unforgettable experience with structures & artifacts that focus on the everyday lives of Lexington County residents from the colonial period to the Civil War. Located on 7 acres of land in downtown Lexington, the Museum features 30 historic structures including the oldest house in Lexington. The Museum features locally made furniture, textiles, pottery, and weapons. Visit the Museum to experience a way of life gone forever!

Batesburg received a post office in June of 1875. The town had grown around a railroad stop on the Charlotte, Columbia, and Augusta Railroad, which was completed in 1869. Come celebrate the 150th birthdays of Batesburg and Leesville (along with the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence) on July 3 from 4 pm to 9 pm at College Park (423 College Street Batesburg-Leesville)
