The Lewisburg Children's Museum opened Saturday, September 16, 2017 on the 2nd floor, east wing of the old high school building. This 9,000+ square foot space holds 15 exhibits and 9 rooms geared toward children ages 12 and under.

🧪🌎 Meet Michelle Heintzelman, LCM's Education Director and one of the amazing instructors leading our Summer Camps! 🌎🧪

Michelle brings more than 12 years of classroom experience teaching high school mathematics and special education at both Muncy and Central Columbia School Districts. She is certified in K-12 Reading, Special Education, ESL, and Gifted Education, as well as Mathematics for grades 4-12.

📚 M.S.Ed. in Instructional Technology from Kutztown University

✈️ Has taught in five different countries

🌍 Has visited all seven continents

🧠 Loves making learning hands-on, engaging, and memorable

💥 Excited to make some messes while exploring amazing science concepts with campers this summer!

To everyone who supported the Lewisburg Children's Museum during Raise the Region: thank you.

Because of your kindness and belief in our mission, hundreds of children and families were able to experience the joy of learning through play at a reduced cost through our Museums for All program.

✨ 359 guests visited through Museums for All in April

✨ 323 guests visited through Museums for All in May

That's 682 visits filled with wonder, imagination, laughter, exploration, and meaningful family time.

It's a child confidently climbing into the ambulance for the first time. It's a family creating memories together in the Weis Grocery Store. It's a curious young scientist discovering something new at the giant light board. It's a place where every child can learn, play, and belong.

Access matters. Play matters. And because of you, more families in our community were able to experience both.

Thank you for helping us remove barriers, create opportunities, and ensure that the Lewisburg Children's Museum remains a welcoming space for all families, regardless of income.

Your support didn't just fund admissions. It created moments of connection, curiosity, confidence, and joy for hundreds of children and caregivers throughout our community.
