New England's first Modernist structure was built by artists Suzy Frelinghuysen & George L.K. Morris,the Studio in 1931, the house in 1941.

They championed American Abstract art and collected the 20th century's greatest including Picasso & Leger.

It’s our last weekend of the 2026 season! Now you can own hand-blown replicas of the 1940’s martini glasses Suzy and George enjoyed. Local glassblowing artists Hoogs and Crawford have painstakingly matched the original glasses and now they can be yours for their debut discounted price! Hurry now while they last! Because of the Josh Billings Race on Sunday September 20th! All access south of 92 Hawthorne Street will be closed. Please drive to 92 Hawthorne Street from the Town of Lenox!

We will still be open all day Sunday and hold Exercise Your Creativity. However!
If you are driving from Great Barrington or South county, the southern entrance to 92 Hawthorne Street will be closed for the race! Please drive to the Town of Lenox, where the town hall is and drive to 92 Hawthorne Street from the north! If you have any questions, please call (413) 637-0166

Our hours are now weekends, Saturday and Sunday only, from 10am to 4pm until Columbus Day.

Enjoy Director’s Corner every Saturday at 11:15am and Exercise Your Creativity every Sunday from 11am to 1pm. As the leaves begin to turn and the air grows crisp enjoy fewer crowds and the sales in the gift shop! Everything is 20% off for the rest of the season!
