SPEAKING WITH PAINT
ABSTRACT ART EXHIBIT
ELK CREEK CAFÉ, MILLHEIM
MAY 6 – JUNE 28

Melinda Harr Curley, Jean Giddings, Susan Graham, Ma**ca Tacconi, and Deena Ultman met twenty years ago in a beginner abstract class and have continued painting together at Art Alliance classes and Open Studio.

"Our language is paint – brushed on, rubbed in, flattened with a palette knife, hurled on, smeared, stamped, delicately applied, immersed in water, and even left out overnight in the woods for Mother Nature to make her mark. We express our emotions in color, line, and shape, from our heart, in creations that we bring through into physical form. Our paintings are sometimes pretty, sometimes dark, colorful, subdued, simple joy, hard-won faith, and always honest. We invite you to speak paint with our abstract art and maybe find another language, or another language may find you."
