This last week, we opened up some cases in our Rock and Mineral Room here at the museum for cleaning. Here are a few samples of Calcite that we took out for photo archival. Even though Calcite is one of the world's most common minerals, the crystals it can form are mind-boggling. As seen here with these samples from Bingham, Utah.
