This year's Majical History Tour was about homes and churches that were here during the mid 1700's and during the Revolutionary War.

How many areas outside of our little Leesport to see 1 is Brandywine. See below, let's not forget some heroes - Molly Pitcher who has a gravesite and monument in Carlisle. And if you really want to do a road trip, look up in the Pa Bucket List Hanna's Town that is in Western Pa. Here, local leaders adopted Hanna's Town Resolves in 1775. I'll let you find their gorgeous pictures and instrumental story on PA Bucket List.

Lastly, come out and visit us at Open House today from 1pm to 4pm! Let's exchange Revolutionary War knowledge, meet "George Washington", check out our amazing variety of George Washington's pictures!

Stand where the largest and longest single-day land battle of the American Revolution unfolded.

Brandywine Battlefield Park preserves the ground where British and Continental forces clashed in September 1777 in a battle that helped shape the course of the Revolutionary War. The park also encompasses the area that served as George Washington's headquarters during the campaign.

Today, visitors can explore the museum, historic buildings, and battlefield while gaining a deeper appreciation for the sacrifices made in America's fight for independence. Join us in celebration of our country's 250th birthday on Sunday, July 5 from 1-4 PM. Special appearance by one of our Founding Fathers!

Come check out our collection of George Washington pictures while visiting the 1858 4-room schoolhouse which served the community of Leesport until 1961. See original school items and local and regional artifacts including a 1750's Quaker Marriage Certificate as well as 20 years of LAHS memorabilia.

Happy 4th of July! Happy 250th Anniversary America! The Leesport Area Historical Society is closed today so everyone can celebrate with their families! See you all tomorrow along with George Washington I hear.

This year's Majical History Tour was a huge success! Hope everyone enjoyed themselves and you all enjoy the pictures as well.

Huge shout out to our Speakers/ tour guides- Dexter Mengel and Dave Ray, Eshelman Transportation for use of the bus and the bus driver this year- Leandra Karasack, as well as our President Robin Schappell for coming up with this year's theme of Colonial Properties and all the work she put in.
