Lebanon Historical Society The Lebanon Historical Society (LHS) was incorporated with the State Historical Society of Wisconsin in October of 1997.

The Center is open the 1st and 3rd Mondays of the month from 3pm-7pm. We’ve also been a branch of the Dodge County Historical Society since 1996. Our purpose is to recount local history, collect pictures, memorabilia and artifacts, and preserve as much of o

ur area’s past history as possible. We erected 10 historical markers which are on display in Lebanon. The historic Town Hall is the second oldest (1890) public building remaining in Lebanon, and is the home of the local museum. The Lebanon Historical Society is a 501c3 non profit organization and our mailing address is: PO Box 23, Lebanon, WI 53047-0023.

This Memorial Day, Monday, May 25th 2026 we will gather to honor and pay our respects to those who served in the Armed Forces who now rest in Lebanon.

We will start at Pilgrim's Rest cemetery in Old Lebanon at 4:30 pm. We will read the names of those who rest in that cemetery, recite a poem, and play taps. We are also laying a wreath at the graves of those who died while serving in the armed forces. We will proceed to Lebanon Baptist, Wanderer's Rest, Immanuel Lutheran, and St. Paul's (Pankow) Cemeteries, then to St. Paul's Lutheran in Sugar Island, St. Mark's Lutheran in Ashippun, Ashippun-Lebanon Cemetery, Union Cemtery in Lebanon, and end our journey at St. Peter's Lutheran in New Lebanon.
