The Bull boat. These small boats were usually made from a single green buffalo hide stretched over a frame of bent saplings. They would hold one man and a small amount of equipment. This will be on display at the trading post.

The side seam moccasin was the most common type on the plains and mountains during the fur trade era. I photographed some of the steps in making them for this new pair I made yesterday.
