You are cordially invited to join the Lawrence Community Workshop and attend the free "Creative Life 101" class this Thursday, October 18

The Lawrence Community Workshop will include shared workshops, tools, services, and training for artists, inventors, engineers, architects, makers, hobbyists, and other creative people. It will be located at 900 New Jersey, in a beautiful, fully air conditioned and heated building, near downtown and the Lawrence Arts Center, and adjacent to the Warehouse Arts District.

The Lawrence Community Workshop is sponsored by the not-for-profit organization Lawrence Creates, in partnership with the Lawrence Art Guild. Membership costs will be very reasonable. You can become a Founding Member for a $20 initiation fee and only $49 per month.

Are you an artist, engineer, architect, inventor, maker, or other creative person? If so, please answer our survey, and help us build the Lawrence Creates community!

Lawrence Creates is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to providing creative people with access to tools and equipment, work space, mentoring, training, and a supportive environment so they can develop and build products, services, businesses, and their future.

Members will use Lawrence Creates studios, workshops, tools, and equipment to invent, create, and build. They will be able to take classes and learn new skills, and share their skills by offering classes to the public.

Tools will include a 3D scanner and printer, welding, wood and metal fabrication equipment, and a variety of other tools - as determined by your answers to our survey, and by our members’ needs.

We will provide members a variety of other services as well, including marketing and a micro-loan program.
