Since 2014, the Museum has evolved to encompass a wide swath of cultural artifacts, conducted scientific research, expanded its focus to include the social and physical sciences, and has worked in conjunction with some of the most significant scholars as well as institutions of higher learning, from the Kinsey Institute to UC Berkley’s infamous scholar Mel Gordon’s Estate. Taken as a whole, museum collections and exhibition materials represent the world’s natural and cultural common wealth. As stewards of that wealth, museums are compelled to advance an understanding of all natural forms and of the human experience. It is incumbent on museums to be resources for humankind and in all their activities to foster an informed appreciation of the rich and diverse world we have inherited. It is also incumbent upon them to preserve that inheritance for posterity. The EHM houses more than 24,000 square feet of permanent and featured exhibits championing many different disciplines, from evolutionary biology, archeology, physics, technology, to the preservation of ancient artifacts and art – written, painted, photographed and drawn. The museum’s ethos is that each of us, every human being, has a story to tell. This Museum is the story of *us*, at our most intimate, throughout history. Our Museum is more than just a place to preserve – within our walls you’ll immerse yourself in the hallowed grounds of our Erotic Heritage. As such, the EHM is as much an assemblage of some of the most important s*xual artifacts, scientific explorations, and interactive exhibitions in the world as it is a one-of- a-kind lecture and classroom space. The Harry Mohney Erotic Museum is owned and managed by the Harry Mohney Erotic Museum LCC, a Nevada corporation. Historical and contemporary erotic materials donated to the Harry Mohney Erotic Museum may be sold by the artist or collection holder, or made available on loan from individual artists for viewing in accordance with federal law.
