City of Las Vegas Museum and Rough Rider Memorial Collection The Museum is housed in a 1940 Works Progress Administration funded building.

Originally constructed as a municipal building, the structure is a venerable stone building with Pueblo Revival elements.

The Museum will be closed at 1pm on 12/5/15 so that staff can prepare for the many holiday events going on in town. Make sure you come by the First United Methodist Church at 11am for Annual Holiday Musical and then check out the other winter wonder time events in town which include Holiday Movies at Ilfeld, the Electric Light Parade, and "Noche de Navidad” (Night of Nativity) Luminaria Tour at Luna Community College will be from dusk to dawn at the campus off of Hot Springs Boulevard, 12/5.

Thank You to PNM for awarding the Friends of the Museum the PNM PowerUp Grant to create outdoor exhibits! We have started our landscaping this week and look forward to beautifying Grand Ave and adding some educational opportunities to the public!
