Let Lorenzo Sandoval's Wandering Sensei photography be the center piece of your inner peace. I am honored to bring you some of my favorite photographic prints from my travel around the world. I picked up photography like anyone else, on a whim. How could you not? Photography gives you such a deep appreciation and insight into the world around you. If forces you to be still, pay attention, and pick up on the detailed intricacies between motion and silence. Besides martial arts, it is the closest thing I have found to heaven. To cultivate a practice that puts mindfulness and staying in the present moment in the foreground of your value system. My style is unique, patient, and is reflective of the deep love for martial arts I have cultivated over the years. Aa a martial arts master and sensei, I am aware of the wondrous appreciation you must have for how your body moves and how you take in your surroundings. You cannot be in the past, you cannot be in the future. If you choose to be in either of those timelines, you miss what's happening right in front of you. With photography, it's exactly the same. You are forced to slow down as much as you are forced to keep up. There is no rush because each moment is perfectly divine and defined by fate. The Fisherman’s Paradise
Bicol Region, Philippines 🇵🇭

Nearly two hours away from Tabaco City, I discovered a quiet fishing village hidden along the shores of Bicol. Colorful boats rested beneath towering coconut trees, surrounded by a peaceful coastline where generations of fishermen have made their living.

What caught my attention wasn’t just the beauty of the landscape, but the simplicity of life here. A place where the ocean provides, traditions continue, and time seems to move a little slower.

Sometimes paradise isn’t something you search for. It’s something you stumble upon.

Reflections of a Simple Life: By Lorenzo Sandoval

Sumlang Lake, Albay, Philippines

While photographing Sumlang Lake, I met a local fisherman who welcomed me onto his property. His family had owned the little house beside the lake for nearly a hundred years. He told me how he and his mother had lived there, watching the world around them slowly change.

Now approaching retirement, he still spends his days fishing in the waters just outside his home. I could only imagine how much life had changed before his eyes.

He kindly invited me onto his boat so I could photograph Mayon Volcano and its reflection across the peaceful water.

As I captured this moment, I realized I was photographing more than a beautiful landscape. I was witnessing a lifetime of memories, a family’s history, and a simple way of life that had endured for generations.

Sometimes the most beautiful places aren’t just found. They’re shared with us by the people who call them home.
