We are proud to be partnering with Keystone Opportunity Center tomorrow for Harvest Heritage Day from 11am-4pm!

Keystone Opportunity Center is based in Souderton and operates a food pantry, provides free adult education services, provides housing to those in need and much more.

We do ask that those who attending Harvest Heritage Day bring a donation of non-perishable items.

The Morgan Log House extends its heartfelt thanks to the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission (PHMC) for another year of generous grant support and steadfast partnership.

We are deeply honored to have been awarded $100,000 through the Keystone Historic Preservation Construction Grant program for our vital historic roof replacement. Additionally, receiving funding through the Cultural and Historical Support Grant program provides essential operational assistance that keeps our day-to-day work going.

Without the support of visionary organizations like PHMC, the Morgan Log House would not be able to fulfill its mission to preserve, share, and celebrate our local history right here in Towamencin Township.

🎉 BIG NEWS! 🎉

We are thrilled to announce that the Morgan Log House has received a $460,000 Semiquincentennial Grant from the National Park Service! ✨

Funded through the Historic Preservation Fund administered by the National Park Service and the U.S. Department of the Interior, this grant is a huge milestone for our site.

🔧 What’s next?

This funding will directly support our major 2027 preservation projects, including a complete historic roof replacement and essential foundation stabilization work.

We are deeply grateful for this federal support, which allows us to continue keeping history alive right here in our community. Stay tuned for behind-the-scenes updates as we prepare for this historic preservation work!

Flashback Friday: Last year we had a blast with our colonial relay race at Harvest Heritage Day! The fall festival is back next week on October 24th. New collections item alert! Do you know Mourning Dolls used to be made from family members' dead loved ones as part of the grieving process? We are honored that the Vampa Museum let us loan their Mourning Doll to display from October 1st to October 31st. Stop by Morgan Log House to view it on tours Friday-Sunday at 12PM, 1PM, and 2PM.
