Unfortunately, due to the combination of extreme heat and the air quality, we're going to have to reschedule our Railroad walk for another date. We'll be sure to let you know as soon as a new date is selected!

This upcoming Saturday we have another wonderful event planned, a Railroad Walk with Steve Harris and Rick Lamon!

Those who attended last year's Annual Meeting will remember parts of this presentation, but this time we'll be walking through Lanesboro, discussing the old railroad and pointing out the parts of it that we can still see today!

We'll meet at the museum by 2:30pm, and then take a short stroll through the bike trial area, including some portions near downtown Lanesboro. This event is completely free, though donations to the museum are always appreciated!

Hello everyone!!

Now that the 4th of July festivities are wrapping up, we've got some exciting announcements to share!

We have a new banner across the front of the museum celebrating our 50th Anniversary! We also took this banner and walked in the 4th of July parade here in Lanesboro, which was a really fun experience!

Also, we’ve got a donation page available on GiveMN to help us celebrate our 50th Anniversary! We’re asking people to donate $50 for our 50 years! If you love the work we do, feel free to support us by donating through this link: https://give.mn/157q2f If donating would create hardship for you, we totally understand, and would ask that you share this site, so we can reach a larger audience!

Finally, we’re in the process of getting print-on-demand merchandise available for the Museum! We’ve run into a couple of hiccups in getting it up and running, but if you have any ideas for merchandise, please comment them down below! Currently we’re planning on having Mugs, T-shirts, Magnets, Totes, and Keychains!

WE'RE OPEN!!!

Come on in today from noon until 4pm for business as usual here at the museum, and/or swing by from 4-6 for a celebration of our Opening Day and kickoff to our 50th Anniversary!!

Hello Everyone!!!

We're so excited to kickoff our Facebook usage again, and announce our opening day! In one week, we'll reopen the museum for the season! We'll also be having a party that everning, as part of our 50th AnniversaryCelebration, light refreshments, gathering together with community at the museum, and continuing to share the stories of this town!!
