Our new Multimedia Painting class gives young artists ages 9–11 the chance to experiment with different art materials while exploring the world of painting. With guidance from instructor Carol Buccilla, students will build artistic skills and fundamentals while having plenty of room to create, explore, and make something uniquely their own.

Nature is more than inspiration for Marty Kotter—it is a responsibility. 🌿

Fiber artist Marty Kotter transforms hand-painted silk, stitching, and quilting into luminous works that celebrate the beauty of the natural world. Her layers of color, texture, and dimension invite you to look closer—to notice the plants, animals, and landscapes that surround us and consider how we can help protect them.

With a background in biology, science education, and park naturalism, Marty brings both knowledge and deep appreciation for the outdoors to her art. Her work is a beautiful reminder that sometimes art can help us see the world around us a little differently.

Watch our interview with Marty to hear her talk about her process, her connection to nature, and the inspiration behind her work.
