It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Billy Ray Branstutter, our first commander, of John S Kountz Camp 14. Billy moved from Kentucky to Toledo Ohio in late 2025. He was born in 1961. He sought membership in the SUVCW as part of newly established Camp 14. Billy was a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans and Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War. While he was never installed as Commander, he was voted in by the members of the Camp, but had taken ill before the Installation in April. Details abut his passing and any announcements as to burial have not been released. May he rest in God’s eternal Peace. Thank you Commander.

We are saddened by the loss of our brother.

Just wanted to remind you that we will be participating in the community days festival scheduled for Friday May 15th through Sunday May 17th at the Fairgrounds in Lancaster. We will be setting up around 3:30pm on Thursday afternoon and will be picking up the cannon at the square around 5: 30pm. I'm actually going to be off work on Thursday and Friday. I'm planning on getting my personal work accomplished on Thursday morning. I will have the cargo trailer parked in our area for setting up camp and will have the cannon trailer on the truck. This year we will have been at the community days festival for 13 years now. I appreciate your attention and time. I'm actually looking forward to this event and seeing everyone there.
