Thanks to everyone for such an enjoyable Bookworm Frolic this year. We're always amazed at some of the stories we hear from people who come and discover new things.

One guest mentioned that she likes to come every year and buy as many bibles as she can so she can put them in little libraries all across Lancaster County. Another young couple found a copy of "A Nonviolent God" by J. Denny Weaver because they wanted to rediscover their faith.

The Bookworm Frolic can be so much more than a book sale. When a little girl finds a bible she can't wait to read, it makes all the hard work worth it.

Next Thursday through Saturday (August 27-29) at Mennonite Life (2215 Millstream Rd. in Lancaster) from 9 a.m. – 7 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, and 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Saturday.

Summer is by far our busiest time of year at the Mennonite Visitors Center and Biblical Tabernacle Experience. Thousands of people come from all over the world to learn more about who Mennonites are. It's been a pleasure to share more about the Mennonite tradition of fair trade and history of Ten Thousand Villages with so many people. Our hope and prayer is that people leave this place thinking more consciously of the products they buy and the people who make them.

So who remembers this guy? For years this worm gobbled up tons of books to promote the Lancaster Mennonite Historical Society's Bookworm Frolic. You might've seen this guy on t-shirts. But he wants you to know that the upcoming Bookworm Frolic is taking place on August 27-29th at the Mennonite Life campus (2215 Millstream Rd.)

Join us next Monday, August 3rd, at 7:00pm at Forest Hills Mennonite Church (100 Quarry Rd, Leola, PA 17540) for our Annual Storytelling Night. Join us as we welcome Dr. Conrad Kanagy as he tells stories that will provoke and inspire us to greater faith. Conrad Kanagy is Professor Emeritus of Sociology at Elizabethtown College. He directed studies of Mennonite Church USA and a study of Anabaptists in ten countries. He was a longtime pastor at Elizabethtown Mennonite Church. He also serves as Publisher and Executive Editor of Santos Books. Conrad and his wife, Heidi, have been married for 37 years and enjoy gardening and walking together. They currently attend Harrisburg Brethren in Christ Church. They have one adult son, Jacob, who is married to Sarah. Conrad especially enjoys being “Pappy” to his grandsons, who love making books with him.
