I haven't used this in quite a while as I have different equipment now, so I've decided to make this available to whomever might have an interest in it. This was my first painting and drafting table of my career and I've created many of my works on this over the years. It raises and lowers and tilts at various angles. Yep, there is paint all over it, but it's in excellent condition and if anybody is interested, I will even sign my name on it with paint to go along with all the other paint marks on it, LOL.

I have two more delightful, original oil paintings to offer from my private collection that I purchased at galleries while on painting trips abroad. I just don't have room for everything, so as I Spring clean and shift things about, I am offering these to whomever would lovingly appreciate them.
One is from Cortona in Tuscany, Italy (from movie fame "Under the Tuscan Sun"), and the other from the Di**le Peninsula of Ireland.

I love the four seasons we experience in the northeast. Yes, even the cold, snow, and frozen landscapes have their place. And when we're getting weary of one, we look forward to the next season coming up.

Took a break from a large project I am working on to capture a cardinal pair which were so visible juxtaposed against all our white snow. Bare trees and a coating of snow makes bird watching so enjoyable during the bleak midwinter--an added flash of color when all is grey and white.

WINTERTIME

It’s wintertime in my life right now and everything is still.
The autumn of harshly blowing winds has done its damage well.
But now that’s passed and what’s left instead is the icy, winter chill.

For when God caused those autumn winds to gale beyond control,
and the raging storm which whipped about left nothing standing whole;
that summer fire of glowing strength is now a dying coal.

Yet with winter’s cloak of deep, white snow, a peace has covered me,
as the icy crystals cover earth in frozen purity.
There I shall wait in the ground beneath; a sleeping, dormant seed.

When once again God looks my way and snows begin to thaw,
the ground will stir and coax me forth and lure me to recall
what I once knew in times of growth before the dreadful fall.

And slowly I’ll remove my trappings, emerging from the earth.
The germinating seed entombed will once again spring forth.
That which I thought gave way to death will now give way to birth.

A little personal art travel history....but first a disclaimer: apologies for the reflections (that look like streaks). It's very hard to take a photo once a painting is under glass.
36 years ago in 1990 I painted this while living in the country of Sweden.
Long before owning an art gallery and long before my red umbrella signature was even a thought, I traveled over to Norway and was smitten by this bucolic scene on a ridge along the northern route I drove into Norway. I believe it was north of Tromsø.
As soon as I got back to my apartment in Sweden I pulled out my watercolors. It has been in my private collection ever since, lovingly guarded even while traveling back with me to the US.
But now it is time to allow someone else to enjoy it.
