Well my Facebook friends, we are getting to the end of another great season. There are only 2 Saturdays left. So if you are looking for that last travel spot, come on up to Holt and Balcom in Lakewood. I will be there the last 2 Saturdays. Come on up and visit me. Plus learn some history about the camp. This is the only logging camp on it's original site in Wisconsin. This camp was built in 1881. Hope to see you there!

It was a busy day today at Holt and Balcom. It was nice to see all the people that came through for a tour today. Thank you to all that stopped. Reminder, we are open every Saturday until Labor Day, 10-3. Stop in next week if you're looking for something to do in the Northwoods. We are located on the McCauslin Golf Course behind the clubhouse. Hope to see you there.

We have been open since May 30. We have had some visitors. They really enjoyed the camp. If you are looking for something to do on a Saturday, come on up to Lakewood and check us out. We are right on the McCauslin Golf Course. So if you like to golf, you can kill two birds with one stone. We would love to see you! We are open every Saturday 10-3.

Here are a few pictures of the Oconto 4th grade class at Holt and Balcom May 26. The students enjoyed learning about the history and a day in the life of a lumberjack. There will be a couple videos of the students soon.

Thank you to everyone who clicked follow for the museum. I want to let everyone know that our season officially opens May 30, 2026. The museum hours are
10-3 every Saturday thru Labor Day. If you need a special group tour during the week you can contact myself or Kathie Marsh. My contact info is:

The cost is donations. All the donations we get go directly back into the museum. We are run strictly by donations.
