Open for free tours on Sundays and Wednesdays from 12:30pm-3pm. Check site for closings and exhibits.

Thank you to everyone who attended and supported borough of Lakehurst Historical Society Lakehurst Fourth of July car show and gift auction over the years—your enthusiasm made each event truly special. While we're unable to host a show this year, this pause doesn't mark the end of our events. The Historical Society remains committed to preserving and celebrating
our community's heritage and community. We invite you to attend our monthly meetings, visit the museum, and we’re always looking for new members and volunteers as we plan future events and keep Lakehurst history alive.

Thank you Sherry DeGraff for coming to swear in the new officers. Also for sharing your amazing historical documents from your business. Before her building was a funeral home it was many years ago a little Market called Murray’s. Please consider joining the Borough of Lakehurst Historical Society. We are honoring the Lakehurst Fire Department. We thank you for the years of dedicated service. The fire department was started in 1911 when the rope factory burned to the ground. Residents worked to keep the fire from spreading to the town. That was the beginning of the Fire Department.

Our museum is run and staffed entirely by passionate volunteers. Unfortunately, this means we sometimes have to close unexpectedly if we cannot fill our shifts. We sincerely apologize if the museum is closed during your visit. Thank you for understanding and supporting our volunteer crew!"
