What you see are the interviews. What you don’t always see are all the rejections it takes to get there.

Today’s video is a little different.

At Fashion Island, I approached person after person, asking if they would be open to participating in Voices for Peace and sharing their perspective.

Many said no.

And that’s completely okay.

This compilation shows some of those moments—the reality behind creating this project every day. Anyone who specifically did not want to be on camera has been blurred to respect their privacy.

Sometimes I have to approach many people just to find a few who are willing to stop, talk, and share their voice.

The rejection is part of the journey.

I keep asking. I keep showing up. I keep going.

Because behind every interview you see, there may have been many “no’s” before that one “yes.”

“Let’s help each other. Let’s be compassionate with each other. And let’s hope—everything is possible.”

Back at Fashion Island in Newport Beach, I asked this gentleman my final question:

If you could leave one message for humanity, what would it be?

His message was simple, hopeful, and universal:

Help one another.
Have compassion for one another.
And never lose hope in what is possible.

Sometimes peace doesn’t begin with governments or institutions.

Sometimes it begins with how we treat the person standing next to us.

Sometimes the simplest answers reveal something deeper.

Inside Fashion Island in Newport Beach, I met an elderly couple and asked the wife all three questions.

Why do you think there are so many wars in the world?

Her answer: people are not caring enough. We’re not empathetic enough toward one another.

Do you believe global peace is possible?

“Yes — but not for a long time.”

What message would you leave for humanity?

“Be caring and kind.” ❤️

Then her husband added his own message:

“Open your eyes. See what’s going on around you.”

Care more.
Be more empathetic.
Choose kindness.
And pay attention to the world around us.

Four young voices. Four messages to humanity. ❤️

Back with the group of teenagers at Fashion Island, I asked them my final question:

If you could leave one message for humanity, what would it be?

Each of them had something different to say—and every answer was genuine, positive, and honestly pretty adorable.

Sometimes the simplest messages can carry the most meaning, especially when they come from the next generation.

This is what Voices for Peace is all about: giving everyone a voice, listening without judgment, and discovering what people genuinely want to share with the world.

“It’s always possible. But it’s going to take all of us.”

Today at Fashion Island in Newport Beach, I asked a gentleman:

Do you believe global peace is possible?

His answer was an optimistic yes.

He believes anything is possible—but peace won’t happen without effort from every single one of us.

In his view, as long as humanity continues to separate itself through politics, religion, countries, cultures, and other divisions, achieving global peace will remain difficult.

His message was simple:

We need to unite. And it’s going to take all of us.

One person alone cannot create global peace. But billions of individual choices can move humanity closer to it.

Today at Fashion Island in Newport Beach, I returned to the group of teenagers and asked them:

Do you believe global peace is possible?

Their answer was:

“No.”

One of them explained why.

Everyone has their own agenda. For true global peace to exist, people would have to become selfless—and in his view, it’s unrealistic to expect the entire world to choose selflessness.

For such a young voice, it was a surprisingly powerful observation.

Can humanity ever put the greater good ahead of individual agendas?

Different generation. Honest perspective. Powerful question.

Sometimes the most genuine answer begins with:

“I don’t know.”

Today at Fashion Island in Newport Beach, I asked a gentleman:

Why do you think there are so many wars in the world?

His response was thoughtful and honest. He said he doesn’t fully understand it himself—but from what he sees, much of it appears to come down to power and control.

Some people simply have a strong desire for both.

There was something refreshing about his answer. He didn’t pretend to have all the answers. He simply shared what he genuinely sees and believes.

And perhaps conversations about something as complicated as war can begin by acknowledging that none of us has every answer.

One question. One honest perspective. Another voice added to the conversation.

A young voice. One question. A direct perspective.

Today at Fashion Island in Newport Beach, I returned to the group of teenagers and asked one of them:

Why do you think there are so many wars in the world?

His perspective was simple: people want control. They want to own things, have power, and have things done their way.

He also brought America into the conversation, sharing his view that we see a lot of that mentality here as well.

Whether we agree or disagree, Voices for Peace is about giving people—young and old—the opportunity to express how they see the world.

One question. One honest perspective rooted in faith and experience.

Today at Fashion Island in Newport Beach, I met Robert and asked him:

Do you believe global peace is possible?

His answer was:

“No.”

Robert shared that his perspective is rooted partly in his interpretation of the Bible and Revelation. He believes scripture tells us how the story ultimately unfolds.

At the same time, he made something very clear:

He wishes global peace were possible.

But in his view, those who hold power are often unwilling to choose peace—and that makes lasting global peace unlikely.

Whether hopeful or skeptical, religious or secular, every answer adds another perspective to this global conversation.

A new location. Four young voices. One important question.

Today at Fashion Island in Newport Beach, I met a group of four teenagers and asked them:

Why do you think there are so many wars in the world?

One of them shared that people disagree over religion, have different points of view, and that greed can also drive conflict.

The others agreed.

It was a short conversation, but an interesting perspective from a younger generation on some of the forces they believe continue to divide humanity.

Different ages. Different backgrounds. Different perspectives. Every voice adds something to the conversation.
