Step beyond the waking world and into the shimmering waters of Daydream Lagoon….

Ivella of Daydream Lagoon is our new sandcastle installation at the Museum of Make Believe. Perched high above in her delicate birdcage, Ivella gazes wistfully thinking of the glittering turquoise waters of the home she left behind — a place somewhere between dreams, memories, and magic.

This enchanted creation was brought to life as a collaborative creative team project with Shree Suvarna, Sylvan Romero, Bill Schaffell, and Geoff Mitchell. Every detail was shaped with a little imagination, a little wonder, and a lot of sand.

The music accompanying this video is “A Strange Magical World,” one of the songs Geoff Mitchell wrote for Episode One of our old-time radio drama, “Strange Secrets of Starlight Park.”

Welcome to “Daydream Lagoon”, the home of a little pixie named Ivella!

One of our newest installations at Museum of Make Believe tells the story of this young pixie who dreams of creating the magical Neverspark gem—a wondrous treasure only special pixies like Ivella can create, gifting hope and wonder to those in need. But when Ivella’s spirit is at its lowest and she is feeling more crestfallen than ever, a frightful zoo pirate captures her from her castle home. What happens next? You’ll have to visit us in person to discover how Ivella’s story ends…

Written by Geoff Mitchell for the upcoming second episode of our vintage radio drama, Strange Secrets of Starlight Park, this song is a tender love song from a magical fairy to her beloved Snowdrop dragon.

We were so lucky to have Valentina not only lend her voice to this piece, but also bring the fairy character, Celia, to life through her performance. Valentina has appeared in Days of Our Lives, Netflix’s Velvet Buzzsaw, as well as the Hulu series, “Runaways”, and several short films.
